Mr Sun Lei
Chairman 

Mr Sun Lei is certified as Senior Accountant and has extensive experience in the fields of financial management, cross-border taxation, capital operations, PPP projects, and investment and financing of large international engineering projects.  In the past 20 years, he had worked in the Finance Department of CITIC Group, CITIC Holding (Financial) Ltd. and CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., holding various leadership and management positions.

In CITIC Environment Investment Group Co., Ltd., Mr Sun is responsible for implementing the corporate strategy, planning for financial leverage, financing and fund management, and capital operations.  Mr. Sun graduated from Renmin University of China and holds a Bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a Master’s degree in Finance.

Dr Chong Weng Chiew

Executive Director / Deputy CEO / Board Secretary

Dr .Chong  is responsible for the International Business department and overseas subsidiaries. Prior to joining the Company, Dr. Chong had vast experience in various investment projects in China. Dr Chong is also a medical doctor. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Ang Mo Kio Hospital.  Dr. Chong holds an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery) degree from the National University of Singapore. He was the Member of Parliament representing Tanjong Pagar Constituency from 2001 until 2006.

Dr Zhang Jinsong
Chief Technology Officer

Dr Zhang oversees the Technology and Application Centre and is responsible for membrane technology application, process design, R&D and project management for the Group. Dr Zhang specializes in environmental engineering, particularly in water and wastewater treatment. His expertise covers a wide range of applications such as water treatment, industrial wastewater management, water reclamation, desalination and industrial process water treatment. He graduated with a PH.D in Environmental Engineering.
